VK-S Video Wall Controller Quick Start_V 2.1.5

1. Hardware preparation before commissioning:

* Prepare a PC commissioning terminal that supports 1080P resolution and installs WIN10.

*One VK S equipment. (One power cord, one network cable, one 3pin to serial port cable.)

2. Safety check before use:

The software is stored with the equipment in the form of a U disk. For specific operations, please refer to the operation manual (the operation manual is stored with the equipment), or consult professional technicians.

6. Computer terminal control can be realized through the network gigabit switch

Modify the computer IP to ensure that it is in the same network segment as the VK S device.

Change the Ethernet IP address of the control computer to the same network segment. The default IP address of VK S is 192.168.0.178. You need to modify the IP address of the control computer to 192.168.0.xx. To change the computer IP address, you need to open the "Network Connection" window. Click on the window R, type "register password" in the run box, and then click the Enter key.

In the "Network Connections" window, right-click the adapter for which you want to set a static IP address, and then select the "Properties" command.

In the properties window of the adapter, select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPV4)", and then click the "Properties" button.

After entering the next page, just make the following modifications, and then click "OK" to save. IP address: 192.168.0.178 (2~254) Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Default gateway: 192.168.0.1

7. Set up

After saving, you can click Video Wall Control System software. The software user name is admin, password: admin. After logging in, you can choose to log in via COM (serial port) or NET (network). The network is selected By default, double-click the red area to refresh the signal.

If the signal is not flashed, carefully review the pre-steps for errors. If the cause is not found, please contact our company's professional technicians.

After entering the software, the most important thing is to set the layout of the video wall first, click on "Video Wall", and then click on "Layout". Because my current screen is 2*2, I only need to change the X value to 2 and the Y value to 2.

Click on the screen image to map the screen body *Step 1: Click on the screen image *Step 2: Click the output node of area 2 and drag it to the video wall mapping area of 3. *Step 3: After step 2 is clicked, click the video wall in area 3 to adjust the mapping and drag the corresponding position in area 3 to the actual screen position. *Step 4: Click Confirm to finish

To change the IP address of controller need to inter software interface first, click ‘’Device’’ and second choose ‘’spell control-network’’. after that click ‘‘search icon’’ and find the IP address. Click on the ‘‘IP’’ address and the go ‘‘set’’ icon. After that, you will find the ‘‘modify device’’ page and modify IP address from this page. Click ‘‘ok’’ button and finally save this modify. In this way, you can modify your controller IP address anytime. For a better understanding please check the below picture.

8. Software operation

After completing setup, now simply drag and drop a source into video wall. Video wall controller automatically reads the input source information from the input source list, double-click the signal icon or drag the icon into the window display area to open the signal source that needed display on the wall.

8.1 Scene save, preview and recall:

Click “save” in the menu bar to enter a custom name or select the scene number in the blank position as needed. Finally, click “ok” to save the scene.

Click on ”scene’’ to preview and modify save Scenes.

Click on “Scene Call” to display only all scenes saved in “Save” with the same resolution and grouping as the current scene. Select multiple scenes and click "OK" button to "Start polling".

8.2 Basemap:

Click “Wallpaper” to enter the following interface. This interface parameter can set the full-screen basemap. Click ‘’Browse’’ to Select the image from the folder. The selected image upload settings will be selected and displayed as a full-screen basemap. Set the basemap display status, display or not displayed and finally click on ‘’ok ‘’ for play in video wall.

8.3 User management

Click the user icon to add, modify or delete user information.

9. Trouble Shooting

1. The base map was not sent successfully:

l Description of the problem; the base map was not successfully sent and could not be uploaded. First, check the version of the output card to see if it supports uploading of base maps.

l The HDMI output card is an HDMI-US/HDMI-U output card, then this version of the card supports uploading of base images. The HDMI output card is an HDMI output card, so this version does not support uploading of base images.

The steps for querying the output version are as follows:

  1. The device connection is unsuccessful

    *First check whether the device RS232/LAN is connected, if the link is connected, check whether the connection is normal.

    *After the connection is normal, check whether the device and the computer are in the same network segment.

    As shown in the figure:
